Dr Twechar & The Glowing Lens

Dr Twechar And the Glowing Lens, is a drama about three young people who go camping in the woods and end up with more of an experience than they bargained for. It was filmed on location in and around Twechar.

Members of the Twechar Youth Group worked on the film project in partnership with Glasgow-based community organisation Impact Arts who were commissioned by The Waterways Trust Scotland. Impact Arts is a leading arts and regeneration company, working with people of all ages across Scotland and the UK.

Youth Group members filled a variety of roles in the film with several taking acting parts while others have been working behind the scenes in areas such as sound, editing and costume design. They were assisted by director Bash Khan, drama tutor Alison Irvine and artist Maggie McManus.
